Morgan Aero 8 Other changes
New for 2006
"New front end styling for 2006 by Matthew Humphries, designed of the Morgan AeroMax concept car and the new stunning Morgan Roadster/+4 Four Seater!
Larger Air Conditioning capacity!
New hardtop option now available w/softtop in lowered position within the car!
New sealing materials for top, trunk and door fit!
New Xenon headlamps w/ automatic power headlamp washers!
New optional Schedoni leather fitted luggage for the boot (trunk)!
Over the last 2 years we have learned a lot about the serviceability of the Morgan Aero 8, and many aspects of its design have made it unnecessarily complex. We have taken the opportunity to improve matters here, namely.
Cast uprights these have replaced the built up components. The new uprights have reduced build time and set up time, both in build and in service. They now house a much neater hub bearing set up and new top ball joints.
Improved camber adjustment. It is now possible to adjust this in minutes.
New steering rack for improved performance (and cost).
Electric power steering pump as fitted to the BMW 5 series improves reliability and assistance at low speed. It is infinitely variable in its assistance
Removal of engine closing plate for improved access to all engine components.
Sealed for life gearbox
Morgan Aero 8 Practicality
The major change here is the increased width of the body of the Aero 8. Over 5 extra across the passenger compartment which will allow us to incorporate door beams, and large people!. The seat backs will have less padding too increasing seat width and comfort.
A much larger trunk, with a taller lid to accommodate bigger cases.
The body of the Aero 8 width increase means there is less of a step across the running board.
New hood system, non electric but easy to use and very effective.
An optional hard top from launch gorgeous.
The dash is revised to take account of the passenger airbag. This allows us to more ergonomically position the radio etc.
More foot room and interior stowage space.
Remote central locking.
Door check stays.
Auto drop windows to allow improved sealing around the top.
Morgan Aero 8 Visual
The rear deck of the Aero 8 is wider, and the trunk re-styled accordingly. There are no big ugly bumpers.
The whole cockpit is wider, so the windscreen is wider too. The front of the car stays largely the same.
Fabulous new multi spoke alloy wheels with 235 section tires front and 245 rear.
The Aero 8 steering wheel, although housing the airbag is 14 diameter, positioned further away than the current car and very attractive with a leather and aluminium rim complete with Morgan logo.
